Daikin Youth Design Competition 2024 | Bronze Honors & Consolation Award
We’re excited to share that two talented students from Mobius Academy, Teoh Soo Rei and Lee William, have been recognized at the Daikin Youth Design Competition 2024! Teoh Soo Rei has earned the Bronze Honors for her amazing design and creativity, really shining in this competitive event. At the same time, Lee William has received the Consolation Award for his unique and creative approach. We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements!
Hotel Eidesis, designed by Teoh Soo Rei, blends Malaysia’s mining history with modern design under the theme “Navigating Tomorrow.” The name “Eidesis” reflects the essence of this narrative, with a focus on how mining’s lessons shape a better future. The design promotes connection, inspiration, and sustainability. Similarly, Lee William’s two-story residence combines traditional Mexican architecture with modern needs, featuring bold colors, Talavera tiles, and natural materials. The open-plan first floor connects the living, dining, and kitchen areas, while the second floor offers private bedrooms, including a master suite. Modern technology ensures comfort, and the outdoor space blends seamlessly with the interior, creating a vibrant, artistic home.
These amazing achievements are a testament to Teoh and Lee’s incredible talents and also show how Mobius Academy is dedicated to helping the next generation of design leaders grow. Both awards highlight their impressive skills and promise a bright future for design. A huge congratulations to Teoh, Lee, and everyone at Mobius Academy for helping shape such talented individuals!
